CAP Barbell’s  CAP Rubber Medicine Ball is a classic fitness tool that has been used for decades to develop strength, coordination and endurance. This new Medicine Ball is designed to bounce for partner or wall exercises, and the tacky feel assures the user a safe and secure grip. Medicine Balls are great for sport specific core training, and help increase strength and stamina. Arrived quickly with no issues, and is exactly what I needed. It’s a heavy rubber ball, people, so there’s really not a whole lot to be disappointed about, unless you perhaps ordered something OTHER than a heavy rubber ball. Like a duck. Or Twizzlers. It neither quacks, nor tastes yummy – just adds weight to my arms when I lift it, and does so with style and panache.

I was looking for some med balls that were affordable (I didn’t realize how insanely expensive these guys were!), and were hard surfaced (not gelled, etc.). The 6 pound balls is great when I am using it for crunches, and other weight bearing exercises, but it isn’t sturdy enough to hold my weight when using it to do pushups on for P90X2. Putting my hands on 2 med balls and doing a pushup works ok, but the ball starts to contract into itself leaving an indent in the palm of my hand. The 8 and 10 pound CAP med ball does NOT have this problem, so if you want to to pushups on them, choose a weight over 6 pounds and you’ll be fine.

The ball works great, with a good solid grip and a very light bounce to it. Highly recommend!

Like the previous reviewer, I bought CAP Rubber Medicine Ball for P90x2, and was happy to find that these are sturdy (not gel type) and can be gripped effectively for pushups and such. These are also very similar in size (slightly larger but not by much) than the other two medicine balls that came with p90x2, so now I can do pushups with med balls under by feet and hands without worrying about too much size variation in the med balls. Highly recommended!
