Review 1: not a pair, but good product.

I too bought the plate thinking I was getting a pair. However, this is a solid product. I have used this brand in the past at gyms where they were well used and kept taking the beating day after day. The weight is accurate and I am happy, but now I gotta order another one!

Review 2: Great bumpers, very economical and durable.

Hi-Temp plates are quite durable and hold up very well to repeated drops. Warning: Don’t put single 5 or 10 pound plates on by themselves and expect them to hold up to drops. They are made to supplement larger plates.

Review 3: I like these plates

I like the RAGE Fitness Hi Temp Olympic Rubber Bumpers. I have 6 in 45 lbs and a variety of others in different weights (10 lbs and 25 lbs). I’ve used them with as little as 10 lbs per side when I started rows, and as much as 180 lbs for dead lifts.

  1. RAGE Fitness Hi Temp Olympic Rubber Bumpers are hard rubber coated but have little odor. Some bumper plates stink. The rubber will mark your floor a bit if you drag them but not like a car tire.
  2. I work out in my basement on a concrete floor. No worries with chipping or cracking the floor when I lose my grip on a 400 lb dead lift. I don’t recommend throwing them around but they are quiet and safe. I have a variety of smaller cheap iron plates and they suck, clanging as you use them, breaking if you drop them.
  3. Easy to grip edge, not as good as those with grip holes but plenty good. You’ll build grip strength without dropping them on your toes.
  4. I’ve never had RAGE Fitness Hi Temp Olympic Rubber Bumpers bend, warp, or break. I’ve been using them weekly for a year.
