Reviews of HCI Fitness PhysioStep RXT-1000 Recumbent Elliptical Trainer

Review 1: owner of HCI Fitness PhysioStep RXT-1000

Like others I had used a Nu Step at my Thearpist and really like it, but after pricing it on Internet and comparing it to Phiso Step, Nu Step was much higher in price and the Phiso Step has the Elliptical pedals, so much for the better.

Phiso Step may be a little harder to set down on as the Nu Step seat swiveled around for you to set down on.

Amazon had amazing price and free shipping and payment plan, all very good.

Review 2: muscle strenghening with HCI Fitness PhysioStep RXT-1000

This specific type of apparatus was recommended by by my wife’s physical therapist in order to maintain her present level of strength which is diminished due to peripheral neuropathy. The trainer arrived in perfect shape. It required some assembly and it works well. It is heavy, so plan on some strong help if it needs to go upstairs. However, it rolls easily on a level surface in spite of it’s weight. I would rate both the product and her satisfaction level as excellent.

Review 3: HCI Fitness PhysioStep RXT-1000 Recumbent Elliptical Trainer

My husband (81) was recently hospitalized due to COPD complications and then completed an exercise therapy program. Because their location is quite a distance from us we needed an equivalent exercise machine at our home. He had been using a NuStep recumbent elliptical at the therapy center but that was too expensive for us.

After much research on the internet and conferring with his physical therapist, we bought the PhysioStep RXT-1000 and we both have been using it for three weeks. My health is fine but I hope it will help me lose weight, stay in shape and it will be nice to be able to exercise indoors this winter.

We took it from the delivery freight truck into the back of our truck as we live remote and didn’t expect them to travel the last very rough five miles up to our homestead. The box was opened in the yard and a strong neighbor moved it into the house using our ramp and a dolly. Another lady and I assembled it easily and had it up and in use in an hour or less. It is well-built and heavy but has wheels on the back end to easily move it when needing to vacuum around and under it.

The screen is bright with large print, it’s quiet so listening to and watching TV while I exercise is fine. I like that it doesn’t need to be plugged into electricity as the screen is lit by four small batteries (included). Being a recumbent, it’s comfortable to use, is easy on my senior knees and quick to adjust when my husband uses it.

My only minor frustration is that I haven’t found a place to conveniently store my water bottle while I exercise. Hmmmmm ….. After re-reading the specs, I see it says there IS storage for a water bottle. I’ll give them a call …
