Sivan Health and Fitness Yoga Set 6-Piece Review 1: I LOVE my new yoga mat set!

I LOVE my new yoga mat. I have been doing yoga with one of my daughters for half a year just in our living room on the rug. My church has started an exercise club that includes yoga and so I decided to buy for when I do go. I found this set and I talked to someone who has been doing yoga for years, I asked them what the blocks, towel, and strap were. I decided to go with this whole set after I found out that the blocks, towel, and strap would be more helpful for me.

The mat is the right thickness for me at 1/2″ (a little thicker than my daughter’s)-I am overweight and have lost 50 lbs but need to lose more. This thicker mat is more comfortable for me than hers. I am 5’8″ so the length is a little longer than I am and that is great. The blocks are helpful since I still consider myself to be a beginner and have some trouble with balance and reach.

Even as I have improved, I still need it when my arthritis makes me stiff. The towels are so nice and is the perfect length for me. I like that I do not feel like I am sticking to the mat when I use the large one and I do not slip like when I tried my daughters without a towel. Also, the smaller towel is very convenient to use to wipe my face, if needed. I tried the strap once so far. It helped me stretch when I was especially stiff.

Some people have reported an odor kind of like rubber. My daughter’s mat of a different brand and company did this but it “aired out” and went away. So, I expected it would also. It did have that rubber odor. It is a little strong but I compare it to that “new car smell”. It is a “new yoga mat smell”. The smell is almost gone from me leaving it out in the living room at night to air, and I also made my own yoga mat spray that has helped. Do not use alcohol to clean your mat because it will break it down. I use a combination of witch hazel, essential oils, and distilled water. There are tons of recipes on the internet. Some recipes also include vinegar.

Now for the color. I bought the teal Sivan Health and Fitness Yoga Set 6-Piece which could also be described as mint (maybe dark mint). It looks like the color that is on MY screen and I love it- so I don’t care what it is called. I don’t have to be matchy, matchy-but I like that everything matches. Also, I have a bin to store all of our yoga items in the living room, and this is a pleasant color that works with my color scheme. I don’t mind that people can see it when there are here and it makes for a great topic in conversation.

Sivan Health and Fitness Yoga Set 6-Piece Review 2: Comfortable, useful, everything you need!

Absolutely love the comfort mat. I have another very thin mat that I have been using for years. However, I noticed that I felt pain in my knees and back at times. I made the correlation that perhaps my mat was too thin and started searching for a yoga mat that was thicker and provide more comfort.

The Sivan Health and Fitness Yoga Set 6-Piece is perfect. It comes with two towels, a belt, and two blocks. Everything you need to follow your yoga routine. I highly recommend it. Of note, I went with the beautiful color shown in the photo, it does tend to stain (my grand daughter’s dirty hands while she demonstrated her yoga routines for me). I used mild detergent to wipe off the stains and it did work.

Sivan Health and Fitness Yoga Set 6-Piece Review 3: I loved it!

I love this Sivan Health and Fitness Yoga Set 6-Piece. It’s perfect for my practice, the mat is thick enough to not hurt my knees on the floor and is very comfortable. The color is exactly as shown on the pictures. Shipping and delivery was very fast! The mat did smell a little bit, but after leaving it unrolled one night the smell went away.

The only thing I didn’t like is the marks that the stripe leaves on it. But if that doesn’t bother you, it should be fine. Excellent quality. I will definitely buy it again when I need a replacement. The blocks and towels are very useful and comfortable too.
