Reviews of Supermats Solid P.V.C. Mat for Rowing Machines

Review 1: Excellent product

I use it for rowing machine LifeCORE R100 (can also be used for Concept2). Very good quality product. In fact it is much better then I have expected. Also note that it is heavy (over 30 lbs). It stays in place during my rowing exercise. You can buy cheaper mats, but don’t expect the same quality as Supermat. Also note that Amazon has the cheapest price ($39.99 shipping included) compare to other websites who sell that product.

1/7/14 update
Its’s been more then two years since I purchased the mat. I still don’t see any negatives and I still like the product. When I purchased the mat, there were no reviews posted yet. I took a chance in purchasing this item and it was a good choice. Price went up since I purchased Supermat two years ago, but it is still a good value considering a good quality of the product.

Review 2: No more slipping…even on a tile floor!

I purchased this mat to accompany a Concept 2 Model D (with PM5) indoor rowing machine. I have tile throughout my entire house, so this mat is going to be placed on tile with the Concept D rower on top of it…to hopefully prevent movement of the rowing machine.

I wasn’t quite sure how the mat would marry with the tile to produce a slip-free rowing experience, yet I quickly learned that it works perfectly. This is a heavy, durable mat that is worth the price paid. I am a big guy- 6’3 and 265 pounds, and I am a competitive indoor rower, so I have the ability to truly test how effective the mat is when I am wielding my body weight at 33 strokes per minute…and no slip.

Review 3: Very well made heavy duty mat ~ Perfect for my Concept2 rower

This is a very heavyweight mat that does an admirable job of protecting my carpet. My Concept2 Model E rower fits perfectly on the mat, with several inches to spare on the front and back. There’s also ample room on each side.

Being so thick, the mat would adequately protect all types of carpet, as well as hardwood floors. It’s not especially easy to move around, but since I keep it in one place it works just fine for me.

Despite using my rower for an hour each day, the mat remains in position with just an occasional area where it tends to rise slightly from the vibration. This causes no problems at all, and is easily fixed by pulling the ends of the mat after each session. The rise is so insignificant that it’s not really necessary to do anything, but if you want the mat to be completely flat after each use, just do the above.

The bottom line is that this is a superbly manufactured mat that will protect your flooring. It can be used with any type of exercise equipment and is extremely durable.
