I’ve read a few of the other reviews and I have to say that these may not work and feel like the “old school” cloth straps, but that doesn’t mean they don’t do do the jobThe thicker, more durable nylon makes these last much longer than the alternative. I’ve had mine for a year and they look exactly the same as when I first bought them, whereas a cloth pair would be tattered, if not in need of replacement by now. The material is more rigid, but after a few sessions it will want to maintain its coiled shape.

The rubberized lining grips the bar as is intended. Just keep the strap from unraveling (literally requires a few pounds of pressure with even the heaviest loads) and you’re sitting tight. The padding feels good on the wrists.
I really can’t imagine these being more functional or durable.
Harbinger makes a good effort with these lifting straps but I cant give it 5 stars for 1 reason. the rubber is on the wrong side.otherwise very sturdy, but in the out-of-box design,while trying to roll these onto the bar is near impossible.what I did was to un-stitch the padding and put it over the harbinger logo, so that the bar will touch the cloth side, while my hand touches the rubber part.no slips here and I do pull pretty heavy on lat pull downs.
