The CAP FM-CB804DX incorporates all of the necessary features and functions found on traditional weightlifting utility benches and incorporates additional features to take advantage of other training methods. Use the FM-CB804DX as a key component in dumbbell training routines. Perform a number of upper and lower body exercises while incorporating dumbbell use to hit goals and build / maintain muscle.

Review 1 – CAP Barbell Deluxe Utility Bench is a Nice Buy for the money…
Got today, went together fine. For the money, great buy. I paid $129, looks like price just went up – after seeing it, I would probably still buy it at the $159 price. Same bench at Academy Sports sells for $199.
I am 5’10” / 205lb and it fits me good in all positions. I have wide shoulders so I wish the back didn’t indent on the top half, would have liked to have the extra support on my shoulders, but since I am not going to be using it for heavy bench presses it will be fine – just using it as my dumbbell bench with 75lb dumbbells max.
I don’t care about it not declining, if you really want that then you can stick a 4×4 under the front to raise it – I don’t think that will engage the wheels in the back. Has a good range on the incline and seat. What really pleased me is my wife is excited about using this bench with the resistance bands – my other bench, just a cheap bench, moved as you did things and felt like it would fall apart with heavy weight. Getting a piece of equipment that she will enjoy is great.
Don’t know about the reviewer that didn’t like it. Took me about 30 minutes to put together once out of the box and the hardware off the card (and that was with a bathroom break and doing a protein mix in the blender).
If you decide on this one, I think you will like. I have been a gym rat for many years
Review 2 – CAP Barbell Deluxe Utility Bench. Great quality everywhere but an annoying design issue.
Not the best quality when it comes to engineering. If you have the bench set at anything other than 90 degrees, there is an excessive gap between the two pieces. If you look closely at the inclined pictures, you can see what I am talking about. Basically, your support drops out for about half of your glutes and tail bone, making it very difficult to hold form. I’ve had to stuff a bunch of towels down the gap to use it.
Otherwise, this is a well made product. The bench is sturdy and did not have noticable wobble on a flat surface. The quick release handles were a nice touch. Despite the above complaint, it is still probably the best buy for a utility bench under 500-600 USD that I could find.

Would’ve rated the CAP Barbell Deluxe Utility Bench 5 stars because it is very stable (doesn’t wobble) and the quality of the materials are good. We specifically picked this weight bench because it’s heavy duty like the benches on our local gym and maximum weight capacity with user is 500 lbs which is more than the typical weight bench capacity of 300 lbs. It also arrived a day earlier than expected.
HOWEVER, we took out 2 stars because when we finally assembled it, the seat pad is not even/flat. It is most likely a defect on the seat pad itself because we followed the instructions carefully and even double checked.
We called Customer Service and no one picked up. How disappointing! We needed to use this bench right away to start our 60-day workout program but we don’t feel comfortable using it this way. We hope to hear from them in 24 hours or we will be returning this product back to Amazon.
