First of all let me start with one thing, these are not the best bumper plates out there. The quality is good but there is better quality out there. With that said i do give it 5 stars because they are a good servicable pair of bumpers, for a low price, perfect for a crossfit garage gym, the smell is not as bad as others i’ve bought. I love them, they are simple, yet effictive, it did come with some minure scuffs, and a scrape or two, but that is probably due to storage or handling of the product. Other than that i really recomend these to anyone who is starting their garage gym and wants a good quality and cheap set of bumpers i will be bying the 35’s and 15’s next month!!!
This is a quality set of bumper plates. Would be 5 stars but…the only problem I had was after I ordered I received a phone call saying my order was placed on back order and would not ship until the next week. Well, 3 1/2 weeks and 3 phone calls later I finally spoke to Justin Miller. Justin told me my order had been sitting in the back order pile and had never shipped. He immediately corrected this problem and got my plates in the mail the same day. I received them 2 days later. Like I said they are good quality, I just wish I had called Justin first instead of leaving 3 messages with his coworker who ignored them.
One of the plates does not mount on the bar straight due to the fact that the inner metal sleeve is off somewhat. So instead of the plate being vertical (90 degrees) when on the bar, it is closer to 80 degrees or so. I don’t think this should affect function, but who knows. Looks like seller requires return shipping be paid by customer, though Im not sure if this applies to faulty products. If it turns out I need to pay to ship back then I guess I will be keeping it.
Update: After contacting Fitness Factory they replaced the faulty plate free of charge, no hassle. I was believing that I would have to pay return shipping per their policy but this was not the case. UPS picked it up from my residence and a replacement was shipped. It was a very quick process and Fitness Factory was great with the exchange.
The new plate is perfect and I have bumped my review of the plates to 5 stares. They are perfect for my needs.
