Review 1: Accurate plates (weights from scale included in review) at a cheap price
I ordered three of these 5 pound plates. Receive them both in great condition and seemed to avoid any of the issues with burrs on the inside where the plates slide onto the bar. I weighed them with a digital luggage scale, and they were between 5.0 and 5.4. For this price I find that to be more than adequate. As far as the finish goes, they were fine with the exception of maybe some sloppy silver paint. But honestly, I use these to lift not to look at!
My only real issue is really with Amazon. What the heck! Why can I only purchased three of these? At least limit the purchase to four as generally weights need to come in pairs!
Review 2: Lead paint?
Good for the price. I did have a concern about the California Prop 65 warning (toxic chemicals). I emailed the manufacture twice and specifically asked if it was because of lead paint. First response they beat around the bush. The second they did not respond to. Since I already have them, I’ll just wash my hand thoroughly afterward. Lead is a really nasty toxin and since it is made in China, who knows.

These are really nice plates, especially since I bought 5lb plates for $1.99 each! My only gripe is that these were an “add on item” and for some reason, the seller limited buyers from purchasing more than 3 plates!
