The Gaiam lifestyle is a vote for individual health as well as the future sustainability of the Earth’s resources.

Gaiam strives to provide customers with alternatives to traditional products by offering natural, or healthy versions that compare with the style, quality and price of conventional products.

Gaiam’s goal is to become the trusted source and unifying brand for Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) participants. They understand that the opportunity to affect people’s lives with information and products is both a privilege and a responsibility.

Gaiam believes in the concept of Conscious Commerce, the practice of making purchasing decisions based on personal values and beliefs. It takes into consideration all the aspects of our lives and the impact we have upon the planet. Research indicates this concept appeals to approximately 50 million people in the U.S. alone.

Gaiam’s strategy in delivering the distinctive quality for which they are known is to partner with experts in health/wellness, eco-living and personal development to develop proprietary products that meet our customers’ needs with meaningful solutions.

The name GAIAM is a fusion of the words Gaia (the name of Mother Earth from the Minoan civilization in ancient Crete), and I am reminds us that we are all interconnected with the Earth, the air and water, and very much a part of this living system that sustains us all.

Reviews of Gaiam Toeless Grippy Yoga Socks

Review 1: Better than a yoga towel!

In Hot Yoga I’ve tried different yoga mats and different yoga towels but this is beats them all! Keeps my feet in place through all the sweat! And now I just sanitize my mat, and only have to wash the socks, instead of a big (wet from sweat) towel.

I’ve already recommended to others in the class. Now if they would just make yoga gloves. . .(hint hint)

Review 2: Believe it or not they’re cute

These socks work. I had to buy yoga mitts and socks for my home practice, for the dumbest reason ever: my cat loves yoga time and hops on my mat and claws the living daylights out of it in his enthusiasm.
A pock-marked mat does not make me feel very serene, nor does sweeping up the carnage of the rubbery bits he’s torn off. I decided to wear a mat he couldn’t destroy, and even if my cat doesn’t really approve this new approach is working.

It helps my awareness a little, even, because there is not some safe padded thing there to protect my every move and when I go to my weekly class I can REALLY sense a difference in my alignment. Outside of all that sort-of pious stuff, they look really cute on my feet.
Even my husband noticed that. Not important for your practice, but injecting a little fun never hurts.

Review 3: Good for Bikram yoga

I practice Bikram yoga and it gets hot and sweaty.Slippery as well. I wear them for the standing postures so I do not slip on the mat when we do warrior pose.I take them off when we go to the floor.
