Reviews of GoFit Contoured Single Vinyl Coated Kettlebell With Training Dvd

Review 1: Worth a try

I needed to expand my workout, and prefer weights to bands, etc., but want to keep the workout in my home. I haven’t found that Tae Bo, P90X etc. get my heart rate up where they should be, and need better cardio, and good strengthening.

I’m happy with the weight itself and the dvd. It was a good starter DVD, and it will get your heart-rate up for sure — at least while doing the basic kettle swing. It was not too ‘beginnerish’ that it could be easily done, and I was sore the next day.

Loved it! I’ve done the workout about 4 times, and I’ve already ordered the next weight up as well (the contour one also). I started with the 15 pound, and feel like I have some of the moves well under control to the point that they’re too easy. So I like the idea of having both available, using 20 with some movements, and 15 with others.

I’m middle aged, in fairly decent shape I’d probably recommend women start with the 15 rather than the 20. If in doubt, go to your local sporting goods store and try lifting both to see which would work better. I think 2 15’s might work out well also for some of the movements, but I’ll probably wind up with an assortment.

At this point, I’m probably in need of a good instructional book!

Review 2: GoFit Contour Kettlebell 10Lb Vinyl Coated

These are very nice kettlebells.

Two were purchased as additions to heavier GoFit kettlebells that I already own. The finish and vinyl coating are high quality and the contoured shape is more ergonomic than round kettlebells for many of the exercises I do, especially when the kettlebell contacts the back of the arm.

The included DVD is professionally done and very helpful with how to properly use kettlebells. It also demonstrates various exercises.

Recommended!

Obviously, it will feel a bit more “clunky” than a round kettlebell. Is easier on the forearms, EXCEPT for the “straight punch” motion. Slimmer, weight distribution feels more uneven during motion in most exercises.

I would probably go with a completely, even though bigger round kettlebell, but still no qualms in purchasing. The handle is more grittier than most kettlebells. That’s a personal choice for you to decide if you want that or not.
