Review 1: Excellent little pulse ox
Ok here is my long review of this pulse ox.
I am an ER RN, have been for about 5 years now. I got this product and have extensively tested it. The first few days I triaged (“checked in”) about 80 patients/day and tested this on about half them of (put one finger in this pulse ox and another finger on the monitor’s). Our monitors are very new and very nice and completely accurate. Here’s what I found:
About 30% of the time, this pulse ox is between 1-3% lower than the monitor’s. It takes a bit longer to give you the readings but is less “touchy” to being wiggled and throwing off the result. It does, however, have problems with pediatrics.
Be warned, it appears to be a Chinese ripoff or something because the instructions have terrible grammar/spelling. Not sure what’s up with that, but it functions well.
All in all, it’s very good and gives the same result the majority of the time. I would trust it.
Review 2: I’m a physician and use this at work so that …
I’m a physician and use this at work so that I can check a patient’s oxygen when I see them, adjust the oxygen, and then have it checked again 20 minutes later by respiratory therapy. I’ve checked it a number of times against the equipment that respiratory therapy carries, and it has read out the same value. The bar that shows the pulse is very clear so you have no question whether it is picking up the pulse reliably or not (cold or wiggling fingers are a challenge for all pulse oximeters). It came with a silicone cover to help protect it and a cord to hang around your neck if you so choose. It’s compact enough that I just slip it in my pocket. The battery indicator alerts you when the battery is getting low.

Shows heart rate rhythm… oxygen rate… and heart rate itself as well.. takes 2 AAA batteries included and has a lanyard if you want that on it also… easily fits in a shirt or pants pocket though also! Very useful tool if you are tracking heart rate and/or oxygen levels… the rhythm lets you know it is accurate or what is actually making it to the finger you are clipping this too.. don’t think it would work right on other appendages but works well on a finger or thumb here. Would definitely buy again! Easy to read numbers help us track oxygen rate and verify with heart rate in the night too!
